I am a 54-year-old citizen of Colorado, and a registered voter with the Democratic Party. I am writing to express my strong discontent with the caucus system currently installed for our state’s Democratic primary. As I understand it, the caucus is a “be there or be square” event that intentionally omits any individual who has to work or is otherwise committed during a short, three-hour time period. I am one of those individuals. And I am incensed. These are turbulent times! I insist that something must be done in order to instate a Colorado primary electoral system that hears (indiscriminately) the voices and concerns of all viable Colorado voters. The system we have now is, at the very least, outdated – and otherwise, a sham!
