CDOT hiring snowplow drivers, maintenance workers

Filling 100-plus positions to help plow and maintain roads
Colorado Department of Transportation is hiring snowplow drivers for winter season.

Colorado Department of Transportation is hiring permanent and seasonal full-time and part-time snowplow drivers and road maintenance workers across the state. Most positions starting in November.

Jobs are available in regions across the state, including the Western Slope and the Eastern Plains. Target cities include Crook, Denver, Idaho Springs, Joes, La Veta, Leadville, New Raymer, Silverton, Telluride, Vail Pass, Walden and Yampa, according to a CDOT news release.

Permanent positions offer full benefits. Temporary seasonal positions generally last up to nine months and are a great way to gain work experience with CDOT. All positions require a Class A or B commercial driver’s license for Colorado, as well as heavy-equipment operator and heavy labor experience. Certain positions also offer a housing allowance and additional pay for remote locations.

CDOT also has available several temporary trainee positions that do not require a CDL. In addition to offering on-the-job training, CDOT may help these individuals obtain their CDL certification.

Positions are competitive, and interested candidates shouldn’t wait until November to apply. For details, go to: http://bit.ly/CDOTcareers2017.
