The Colorado Department of Transportation will clean ditches on U.S. Highway 550 on Farmington Hill and along Highway 550 north of Durango from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday and possibly continuing through the week of Aug. 12.
Ditch cleaning is essential for maintaining safe roads. The cleanup efforts are needed because of the past winter’s snow and recent rainfall.
On Wednesday, crews will work on Farmington Hill from Eagle Block to the intersection of U.S. Highway 160. On Thursday, crews will work north of Durango. Drivers can expect delays, lane shifts and one-way alternating traffic.
If inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances hinder operations, work will be pushed to the next day or week.
