CDOT to resurface road in Rico

Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews will resurface a one-mile stretch of Highway 145 from the south to north side of the Rico town limits June 26-27.

A chip-seal process will be used to improve the durability of the roadway.

Motorists can expect five- to 15-minute delays, lane shifts and single-lane closures in both directions for the duration of the project. Flaggers and pilot cars will be on site to direct traffic.

CDOT urges travelers to slow down, increase space between vehicles and follow signs while construction is being conducted. Those on bicycles and motorcycles should use added caution in the work area.
