Wild-plant expert Katrina Blair will host a free celebration of her latest book, The Wild Wisdom of Weeds, tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
Blair, Founder of Turtle Lake Refuge, will present a slide show featuring the weeds she mentions in the book and recipes for using the same. There also will be live music by several local groups.
She says 13 wild plants are essential for human survival.
