The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe will give away personal protective equipment essentials (hand sanitizer and other essentials) at drive-thru census events Friday and Saturday.
The first event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Ute Mountain Ute Public Safety/Post Office parking lot.
The second event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at White Mesa Community Travel Center parking lot.
While on-site, participants are encourage to bring their smartphone (and Census Code if they have it) to take two to five minutes to complete the 2020 census. Census personnel and tribal volunteers from their leadership circle will be on site to answer questions.
Tribal members are reminded to list all their tribal affiliations and to put “Ute Mountain Ute Tribe” on the form, no abbreviations, to ensure they get counted for the tribe.
Those who complete the census may show their confirmation page at the exit to be entered into the next week’s grand-prize drawing.
PPE essentials will be distributed while supplies last.
