Center baseball outlasts Ignacio

Bobcats have 3 players with multiple hits

Center outlasted Ignacio baseball in a slugfest Friday in Center.

The Vikings prevailed 9-8 in a game that featured 19 hits and seven errors.

IHS (2-4) had 11 of the hits and four of the errors. Junior Austin McCaw led the way at the plate for the Bobcats, picking up three hits in four at-bats with two runs batted in.

Junior Javan Webb went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Sophomore Juanito Medina also had three hits in four at-bats and scored twice, but he took the loss on the mound for IHS, giving up two runs in the fifth inning.

Tucker Ward started the game on the mound for the Bobcats, lasting four innings and allowing two runs on two hits. He walked two and struck out five.

IHS next will play Dolores at 11 a.m. April 11 in Dolores.
