An open house in commemoration of Ed Roberts Day will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Southwest Center for Independence, 3473 Main Ave., Suite 23.
Participants will learn about Ed Roberts, the father of independent living; the history of the disability rights movement; the Center for Independence’s mission and services; and the independent-living philosophy.
