Center of Southwest Studies to host reception for new exhibits

The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College will host an opening reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, for its new exhibits.

The center will display new items and artifacts in its two permanent galleries, one dedicated to Ben Nighthorse Campbell and the other, Treasures of the Southwest, featuring the center’s collection of fine art, textiles and more. A third gallery will feature a traveling exhibit, “Cannabis: A Visual Perspective.”

The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment.

The exhibits will be on display throughout 2019.
