Chapman Hill Ice Rink will open Friday with public skating from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and an outdoor gear swap from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Ice rink admission is $7 for all ages (ages 3 and younger can skate for free), and skate rentals are $3.
Twenty-punch skate passes are available at discounted prices through Friday. Early season prices are:
Youth/senior public skate/stick and puck pass: $50 (regular season price – $70).Adults public skate/stick and puck pass: $70 (regular season price – $90).Adult drop-in hockey pass: $120 (regular season price – $160).Freestyle pass: $120 (regular season price – $130).Passes can be purchased at www.DurangoGov.org/register4rec. Only one early season pass may be purchased per person.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, guests are required to wear a mask while entering and exiting, and within the facility. Skaters may remove masks while skating if they are able to maintain the 6-foot social distancing requirement.
Skaters are asked to obey all safety signs inside of Chapman Hill Ice Rink. Per state requirements, the maximum capacity of the facility is 50 skaters. If the facility is at full capacity, guests may need to wait outside for entry. Drinking fountains are closed; skaters should bring their own water bottles. Concessions will be open.
