Vallecito Service League raising funds for fireworks
The Vallecito Service League is hosting its annual chili challenge on Sunday, but this year there is a new twist - a dessert derby.
The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. June 12 at the Lake Vallecito Community Center on CR 501.
Chili or chili dogs, drinks and dessert will be served for $6. All you can eat is $10.
Or chili tasting and judging is available for $1 per taste, or $5 for six tastes. Dessert tasting and judging is 25 cents per taste or $1 for five tastes.
There will be awards for the best chefs, along with games and drawings for prizes.
All the proceeds will be used to buy pyrotechnics for the annual fireworks show.
