San Juan Mountains Association will hold its annual “Chili Chase” fundraiser Sept. 15 at Backcountry Experience, 1205 Camino del Rio.
The event features a 10K trail run through Overend Mountain Park and a chili cook-off, with more than 20 chili recipes from local organizations and businesses.
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. at Backcountry Experience, and the race will start at 9:30 a.m. The chili cook-off will start at 11 a.m. at Backcountry Experience.
Runners who raise the most funds will receive various outdoor gear prizes from Backcountry Experience. Proceeds go to San Juan Mountains Association.
