San Juan Mountains Association will hold the annual “Chili Chase” fundraiser Sept. 16 at Backcountry Experience, 1205 Camino del Rio.
A 5-K trail run and a chili cook-off, with more than 20 chili recipes from local organizations and businesses, will be featured.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., at Backcountry Experience, and the race starts at 10 a.m. from Iris Park. The chili cook-off will begin at 11 a.m., in the Backcountry Experience parking lot.
Proceeds go to San Juan Mountains Association.
