Students at Hope Community Christian Academy prepared and served breakfast for military veterans on Friday, Dec. 12 at Bayfield Church of Christ. Vaughn Lee, 6, greeted the visitors at breakfast with thank you cards made by the students.
Charley Pargin welcomed his grandpa, U.S. Navy veteran Lee Larson, to the breakfast.
Students served breakfast to several dozen veterans and their families at the event. The academy provides a home school curriculum to families and combines it with group classes, events and service projects, such as the annual breakfast.
