Christmas festivities planned for Main Mall

Vendors needed for Saturday events
Steve Beck with JTD Ventures hangs Christmas lights on the exterior of the Main Mall building Monday ahead of the holiday shopping season.

Santa Claus, artisans and music will fill the Main Mall with cheer on Saturdays this holiday season.

“We are really trying to put together a fun mix,” said KK Patton, organizer and owner of Sendero Gallery.

Holiday-themed vendors, art activities for kids and photos with Santa are planned to bring a festive energy to the mall, she said.

Vendors will set up shop the Saturday after Thanksgiving and will be there for at least four consecutive weeks. If it goes well, the vendors may stay through the winter months.

She expects different musical entertainment and vendors each week.

Truffles, knit scarves and hats, henna tattooing and face painting are part of the line up thus far.

Patton expects to put in at least 10 booths and she continues to accept applications from interested vendors, musicians and a Santa Claus.

She is seeking those selling specialty gift items, and holiday foods, such as kettle corn.

“It’s all going to be centered around art, handmade and fun,” she said.

Interested vendors and musicians can email Patton at kk@senderogallery.com and ask for an application.

If you go

Santa Claus, vendors and music will fill the Main Mall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for four Saturdays starting Nov. 26.
