First United Methodist Church of Durango will host a golf tournament to benefit Rising Leaders Ministry at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dalton Ranch Golf Club.
Rising Leaders ministry prepares young adults to become leaders in ministry by giving them up to two years of paid experience working in a church setting. Those currently serving at FUMC Durango are Will, who is interested in becoming a pastor, and Cassidy, who is interested in serving children and families.
The tournament format is a four-person scramble with a championship division and a fun division. Team and individual prizes will be given away.
A silent auction, including a weeklong stay at a condo on Pacific Beach in San Diego, will also be available.
Entry fee is $120. Sign up as an individual or a team.
