Applications are now open for the Durango Police Department’s 24th session of the Citizens’ Police Academy.
The academy will take place 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays from March 7 to May 9 at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave. (weeks one and two), and Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave. (weeks three to 10).
The academy is an interactive, 10-week class providing insight into the operation of the Durango Police Department and its role in keeping the community safe. Applications will be accepted through Feb. 22.
