The city of Durango Parks and Recreation Department will host two BMX races at 6 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cundiff Park BMX Track.
The Friday race will be a standard race, with registration opening at 5 p.m. and racing beginning at 6 p.m. The Saturday race is a State Race Triple Qualifier, which draws riders from across the Four Corners. Registration will open at 1:30 p.m., with racing beginning at 3:30 p.m. and ending around 7 p.m.
During both races, parking will be limited in Cundiff Park. Users of the Animas River Trail or those who use the Cundiff parking area may relocate to adjacent river trail access points or parking lots. For boating access to the Animas River, use Santa Rita Park or the river access adjacent to the La Plata County Humane Society.
