The city of Durango will celebrate the hard work of Durango Transit drivers during National Transit Driver Appreciation Day on Wednesday.
In 2019, Durango Transit drivers provided 373,845 rides and drove more than 340,000 miles. More than 80% of respondents in the 2019 Ridership Survey gave Transit drivers an approval rating of eight or higher (out of 10).
The city would like to recognize these drivers for their accident-free, safe driving miles:
More than 200,000 miles: Ralph Kennington and Dwight Stovall.More than 100,000 miles: Leonard Graham, David Robillard, Cindy Thompson, Charlie Morris and Chuck Curtis.More than 50,000 miles: Dave Gore, Jeff Willis, Jeff Bernard and Bill Hallock.More than 20,000 miles: Brett Willis, Keith Dunning, Mike Heffernan, Randy Scott and Bill Hutzler.The city is grateful for Durango Transit drivers’ hard work and dedication to passengers and to the community.
