The city of Durango has announced its schedule Labor Day.
City administrative offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Transit Center, Greenmount Cemetery and the Parks and Recreation administrative offices.Greenmount Cemetery office and Chapman Hill will be closed Monday. The recreation center will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Durango Gymnastics will offer regularly scheduled classes. Lake Nighthorse Recreation Area will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Durango-La Plata County Airport administrative offices will be closed. The airport will operate as normal with commercial flights arriving and departing as scheduled.Durango Public Library will be closed.Commercial and residential trash and recycling pickup will occur as scheduled. All residential customers are asked to ensure trash and recycle cans are out by 8 a.m. for service. The Recycle Center will be closed.Durango Transit will operate normal routes. The Transit Center Lobby and cashier window will be closed.Parking at meters is free downtown Saturday through Monday.
