The city of Durango announces its schedule for Labor Day:
City administrative offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, police station and substation, Greenmount Cemetery and the Parks & Recreation administrative offices.The recreation center will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The aquatics area will close at 1:30 p.m. Durango Gymnastics and Chapman Hill will be closed. Lake Nighthorse will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.The Durango – La Plata County Airport administrative offices will be closed. The airport will operate normally.Durango Public Library and all library branches will be closed.Commercial and residential trash and recycling pickup will occur as scheduled. All residential customers are asked to ensure trash and recycle cans are out by 8 a.m. for service. The Recycle Center will be closed.Durango Transit will operate. The Transit Center lobby and cashier window will be closed. Parking at meters will be free downtown Saturday through Monday.
