The schedule of city of Durango closings for the New Year’s holiday:
City administrative offices will be closed Friday.The recreation center will be open from 6 a.m. to noon Thursday. Aquatics areas will close at 11:30 a.m. Reservations required at www.DurangoGov.org/reccenter. The Recreation Center will be closed Friday. Chapman Hill Ice Rink will be open for public skate from 10 to 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Reservations required at www.DurangoGov.org/chapmanhill. Chapman Ski Hill will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and will be closed Friday.Durango Gymnastics will be closed for classes and gym rentals through Sunday. Classes resume Monday.Durango Public Library will be closed Friday and Saturday. Curbside service will resume Tuesday.Durango-La Plata County Airport will be open with regularly scheduled commercial service Friday. Airport administrative offices will be closed Friday.Durango Transit will not operate Friday. The Transit Center will also be closed. Parking at meters downtown will be free Friday. There will be no commercial or residential trash or recycle collection Friday. Friday’s commercial trash and recycling and residential trash will be picked up Thursday. Friday’s residential recycling will be picked up Jan. 8. The Recycle Center will be closed Friday and will reopen at 9 a.m. Monday.
