City of Durango announces schedule for Labor Day holiday

The city of Durango announces its schedule for the Labor Day holiday on Monday.

City administrative offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Transit Center, Greenmount Cemetery offices, and Parks and Recreation administrative offices.

Durango Community Recreation Center will be open from 5:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are no classes at Durango Gymnastics. Chapman Hill is closed. Disco Night is Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.

Lake Nighthorse will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Wibit Aqua Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The aqua park closes for the season Monday.

Durango-La Plata County Airport will offer regularly scheduled commercial service. The airport administration office will be closed.

Durango Public Library will be closed.

Commercial and residential trash and recycling pickup will be Tuesday to Saturday, one day later than the regular day with no service Monday. The Recycle Center will be closed.

Durango Transit routes will operate with normal service on Monday. The Transit Center will be closed.

Parking at meters is free downtown Saturday to Monday.
