City of Durango announces schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The city of Durango’s schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday:

City administrative offices will be closed Monday, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Greenmount Cemetery and Parks and Recreation administrative offices.

The Durango-La Plata County Airport will be open as normal with regularly scheduled commercial service Monday. The airport administration office will be closed. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

The Durango Community Recreation Center, Chapman Hill and Durango Gymnastics will all be open with regular hours and scheduled classes.

The Durango Public Library will be closed.

Residential and commercial trash and recycling routes will be serviced on their normal schedule. The Recycle Center will be closed.

Durango Transit will operate. The Transit Center and the cashier window will be closed. The Skier Shuttle to Purgatory Resort will operate. The shuttle departs the Transit Center at 8:30 a.m.

Parking meters are free in downtown Monday.
