The city of Durango announces its schedule for the Fourth of July holiday, which will be observed Monday:
City administrative offices will be closed, including City Hall, River City Hall, Police Station and Substation, Transit Center, Greenmount Cemetery offices and Parks and Recreation administrative offices.
Durango Community Recreation Center will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chapman Hill is closed. Disco Night at Chapman is Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m.
Lake Nighthorse will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.DurangoGov.org/Lakenighthorse.
The Durango-La Plata County Airport will offer regularly scheduled commercial service. The airport administration office will be closed.
Durango Public Library will be closed.
Commercial and residential trash and recycling pickup will be Tuesday through Saturday, one day later than the regular day with no service Monday. The Recycle Center will be closed.
Durango Transit routes will not operate Sunday, but will resume normal service Monday. The Transit Center will be closed Sunday and Monday.
Parking at meters is free downtown Saturday through Monday.
