The city of Durango awarded $172,601 in relief funds to nonprofit organizations needing assistance with expenses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants were among the $820,000 in relief funds provided to businesses and organizations located throughout the city and La Plata County.
The Community Foundation Serving Southwest Colorado distributed $103,501 of the relief funds to organizations. An additional $69,100 was given to organizations directly from the city. Grant amounts were based on budget size.
