City of Durango implements new holiday trash/recycling pickup schedule

The city of Durango has implemented a new holiday trash and recycling collection schedule in 2021. Commercial and residential pickup on holiday weeks will be staggered out one day. This schedule will start with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday Jan. 18.

On weeks with holidays falling on Mondays, collection will take place Tuesday to Saturday.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 18: Pickup Jan. 19-23.Presidents Day, Feb. 15: Pickup Feb. 16-20.Memorial Day, May 31: Pickup June 1-5.Independence Day, observed July 5: Pickup July 6-10.Labor Day, Sept. 6: Pickup Sept. 7-11.Collection for the remaining holidays are as follows:

Veterans Day, Nov. 11: Pickup Nov. 12-13.Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25: Pickup Nov. 26.Thanksgiving Friday, Nov. 26: Pickup: Nov. 27.Christmas Eve, Dec. 24: Pickup as scheduled.Christmas Day, Dec. 25: Commercial pickup: Dec. 24.Christmas holiday, observed Dec. 27: Pickup Dec. 28-Dec. 31.The Recycle Center is closed on all holidays.
