The city of Durango and La Plata County have partnered to host a Household Hazardous Waste collection event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Commercial waste will be accepted Friday by appointment. For more information, call 764-5796.
In 2016, the Household Hazardous Waste Event resulted in the diversion of over 28,000 pounds of hazardous waste from the landfill.
