The city of Durango will host an interactive and educational community open house to discuss existing conditions and a future vision for the College and Eighth Character District Plan from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Park Elementary School, 510 East Sixth Ave.
The Durango Districts Initiative involves assessing and envisioning the future of 10 mixed-use districts that have special character-defining traits. Through robust and inclusive planning, the initiative will create coordinated district plans that embrace the unique character of each district and provide a guide for helping these areas reach their full potential.
Community members also may share their feedback via a short survey at www.DurangoGov.org/VirtualCityHall. The survey is open until Feb. 28.
