City of Durango to host meetings about Animas River Trail pedestrian bridge

In response to community interest about the planned Animas River Trail pedestrian bridge project, the city will host several informational meetings at which community members will have an opportunity to ask questions about the project.

The bridge will involve an overpass over 32nd Street and the railroad tracks, and a bridge over the river. The Parks and Recreation Department design team will present accurate details about the bridge and hear community members’ concerns.

These public meetings will take place:

5 p.m. Wednesday, Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave., Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting.6:30 p.m. Feb. 18, City Hall, 949 East Second Ave., City Council Meeting.4 p.m. Feb. 26, City Hall, 949 East Second Ave., Multimodal Advisory Board Meeting.5 p.m. Feb. 27, Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave., community meeting.For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 375-7321 or email rec@DurangoGov.org.
