The community is invited to an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 9) at the former Big Picture High School building, 215 E. 12th St., for a celebration of the newly renovated space that now houses the city’s Community Development Department and the Engineering Division of Public Works.

After remarks from Mayor Melissa Youssef, a ribbon-cutting will take place and tours will be available as well as refreshments.

City staff members moved into the new office space Jan. 12 and provide the services formerly available at River City Hall, including building permits, inspections, right of way permits, land use inquiries, and items related to housing and economic development.
