The city of Farmington’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department will resume two popular summer events, Park Play Days and TGIF, in July.
TGIF concerts will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays at Orchard Park, 105 N. Orchard Ave. The musical lineup will include performances by Ben Gibson Duo, Jose Villareal and Shawn Arrington band.
“This is the perfect way to celebrate Fridays, and the perfect opportunity to explore the new downtown enhancements,” said Christa Chapman, marketing and public relations specialist for parks department. “And we are so happy to have Three Rivers returning as the food vendor serving up pizza for those who would like to buy lunch onsite.”
Park Play Days will take place from noon to 2 p.m. July 3 and July 31 at Sycamore Park, 1051 Sycamore St. Food trucks will be on-site and goodie bags and lawn games will be available. Attendees can try disc golf, croquet, play hopscotch and tag. Radio stations KWYK and KNDN and Fierro will also be on-site with music and giveaways.
Both events are free and open to the public.
