Our Durango City Council continues their reckless spending. If these people would focus their efforts toward necessary projects instead of feel-good frivolous ideas, they could actually do some good for our city. Fixing what isn't broken seems to be easier than addressing what needs to be fixed.
How many millions of our tax dollars are they going to waste to build streets and sidewalks on downtown Main Avenue, where ( I looked) we already have a street complete with sidewalks? This waste is not needed and serves no purpose. What are we gaining by spending millions of taxpayer dollars to make downtown Durango look exactly like thousands of other towns that recently spent millions of taxpayer dollars to have their cookie-cutter downtowns?
Since they are on a roll, the council plans to spend possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars to create a new official logo for Durango. How can this even be considered? Where is the need?
