The city of Durango will give away mulch until it is gone Friday on a first-come, first-served basis.
Material may be loaded by residents, and the city will have a loader to help put mulch into personal vehicles and trailers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The mulch pile is at the Van Dal Dump Site at the top of Tech Center Drive.
Mulch consists of chipped residential tree trimmings from spring and fall cleanup as well as Christmas trees.
