Durango High School class of 1971 will celebrate its 50-year reunion Aug. 27 and 28.
Events will begin with a prereunion lunch and golf tournament Friday at Dalton Ranch Golf Club. Lunch will take place at noon with tournament play starting at 1:20 p.m. Space is limited and reservations for the tournament are required, with lunch and greens fees paid by each participant.
A meet-and-greet gathering will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 27 at Durango Elks Lodge, 901 East Second Ave. Food will be provided with a cash bar available.
A picnic and party will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Durango Elks Lodge picnic grounds, off Florida Road at 379 County Road 240A. A catered meal will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring their own beverages.
All 1971 graduates, family members and any other people interested in attending the celebration are welcome. Donations to help defray the cost are appreciated.
