Cloudy with a chance of goals

Fresh off a 9-0 victory Monday at Sand Creek, Lane Arnwine and the Durango High School girls soccer team will look to add to the recent scoring outburst Wednesday at home against rival Montezuma-Cortez. Arnwine scored two goals for DHS in Monday’s win, while junior Maddie Robertson scored three. Freshman Taylor Klone also had two goals in the game, while Lucy Hickcox and Katie Milliet each had one goal, with Milliet adding an assist. The Demons (4-5, 3-2 Southwestern League) have won three games in a row after spring break after a rare five-game losing streak. Montezuma-Cortez will enter the game winless at 0-5.
