That Stephen Colbert sure has a knack for finding promising artists. On June 12, he’ll take a break from hard politics to dedicate an hour-long special to an artist he believes will make it big: Paul McCartney.
“I think this McCartney kid’s got something special and I’m gonna put him on the map!” says Colbert.
McCartney, who is currently on his “Out There” tour (sold-out, sorry), will sit down with the comedian for an interview as well as perform a few songs from the tour and from the 2013 reissue of “Wings Over America.” He also will test out a new track that will only be available afterward at colbertnation.com.
This is the second one-act show that Colbert has picked up; the first one being Radiohead.
