The Herald recently endorsed Phil Weiser’s opponent for attorney general, stating, “We disagree that the presidential administration should be the Colorado attorney general’s prime area of concern.” This is absolutely what Colorado’s AG should be primarily focused on!
Trump’s attempts to gut environmental protection laws are being contested by the California AG. Trump’s attempts to gut our long-standing immigration policies are being protected by New York’s AG. We have serious concerns here in Colorado with federal overreach regarding our air and water, our public lands, our gun safety choices, our women’s rights and our immigrant communities.
I want the strongest civil and environmental rights protector I can find. I want Phil Weiser.
