Colton Black is unprofessional, unfit to serve as county official

Before Colton Black was running for county treasurer and before I knew who he was or that he filed for bankruptcy, I had an awful, unprofessional, and inappropriate customer service interaction with Mr. Black.

I, the customer, was forced into a political conversation by him while he was acting as my banker. I repeatedly needed to say to him, "I'm here to bank with you, not get into a political discussion; can you please just stick to banking?" He was working and bringing his biased political views into the workplace which was incredibly unprofessional.

We can't seem to avoid political incivility these days - even at the bank. Colton had the gall to uncomfortably spew his misinformed political opinions to his customers - can you imagine how this approach would translate to his constituents in public office? Not well.

Though his superiors were notified, I can't stress enough what a huge red flag this encounter was - add his bankruptcy to the equation and his lack of real experience and I see a recipe for disaster. I encourage you to join me in not voting for such a rude and unqualified person to represent our county's financial interests. We need someone who is a community leader with financial expertise, a long list of real credentials, a collaborate spirit, and knows about businesses in our county.

Plus, wouldn't it be nice to have a professional and someone who is courteous? Yes!

Vote for Allison Aichele for La Plata County Treasurer.
