The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado has promoted Rachel Rosenthal as the new grants and marketing manager and hired Kim Cassels as the community outreach manager.
Rosenthal served as the previous community outreach manager since December 2023.
Before joining the organization, she was a freelance marketing writer and editor, and a special-education teacher in the area for 13 years. She was born and raised in Durango and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Fort Lewis College.
Cassels joined the Community Foundation in October after working as a marketer and writer for Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours for five years. She was raised in Farmington and graduated from FLC with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and multimedia.
