The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado has appointed three new members to serve on the organization’s board of directors. Joining the board of directors this year are John Arms, Cheryl Nixon and Trent Porter.
The Foundation’s board recruitment process includes comprehensive vetting to find committed individuals who will bring unique talent and skills to the board of directors.
Arms has more than 25 years of experience in capital investments in land, minerals and energy. He has a technical background in engineering and has managed budgets, personnel and human resources.
Nixon serves as provost at Fort Lewis College, working with Academic Affairs leadership to implement student-centered strategies, launch new programs and to build FLC’s academic reputation.
Porter is a Certified Financial Planner, a CPA and the founder and president of Priority Financial Partners, a local wealth management firm.
