Community members are invited to a virtual meeting to begin the update process for the city’s Multimodal Transportation Plan at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Multimodal Transportation Plan is a road map to integrate Durango’s transportation network so people can move around easily, whether they are walking, biking, using a mobility device or riding Durango Transit. The plan was last updated in 2016.
Community feedback helps the city identify needed improvements to create an integrated transportation network that meets the needs of all mode users. Identified improvements help guide design and prioritization of infrastructure projects.
The meeting will include a staff presentation about the update process as well as multimodal success stories from the past five years. There will be a demonstration about how to use an interactive online map to share ideas. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share feedback.
