Fire, smoke health hazards cited
The Halden Wofford and the Hi*Beams concert scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at Buckley Park has been canceled, according to a news release from the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.
The release cited fire, smoke and health hazards resulting from the wildfires and smoke in the area as the reasons for the cancellation.
“While the park is not directly impacted by the actual fires, air quality is of great concern, plus the community is pulling resources together to assist those evacuated and impacted by the fires,” the release said.
The Concerts @ The Park will resume next Thursday, the release said.
