Connect for Health Colorado extends special enrollment through April

To ensure Coloradans have the health coverage they need, especially in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Connect for Health Colorado is extending the Special Enrollment period until April 30. People who enroll now will have coverage starting May 1.

Connect for Health eligibility extends to Coloradans who do not currently have health coverage and are not eligible for Medicaid and certain other kinds of health insurance coverage.

Enroll online at www.ConnectforHealthCO.com, by calling (855) 752-6749 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday or work with a certified enrollment expert such as San Juan Basin Public Health by calling 335-2021 or a local insurance broker certified by Connect for Health.

Health insurance companies have removed deductibles and co-pays for specific services related to COVID-19. Coloradans that are covered by comprehensive health plans like those from Connect for Health Colorado will be able to access telehealth services at no cost, refill an additional one-time early refill of any necessary prescriptions and access COVID-19 testing at no cost.

Coloradans who experience a Life Change Event, including losing job-based coverage, can use a Special Enrollment Period throughout the year.

Questions about Medicaid and CHP+ can be directed to SJBPH at 335-2021 or 335-2065.
