Construction to begin for new signal on Highway 160 at Twin Buttes

Construction to install a new traffic signal will begin Thursday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and Tipple Avenue to accommodate the Twin Buttes development entrance.

The project will include shoulder work, installation of retaining walls, pavement widening, lane reconfiguration, installation of a raised median and installation of the new traffic signal. The work will be done by contractors for Twin Buttes and overseen by the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and it is expected to be completed at the end of June.

The public can expect lane shifts and brief delays in both directions on U.S. Highway 160 while work is ongoing.
