‘Contanimas’ River

Brad Johnson painted his new nickname for the Animas River on his battered Grumman canoe that has been down the river “at least a hundred times.” Johnson said he’s concerned about the lack of specific information on the level of heavy metals in the water, but the only thing that’s kept him out of the river since the spill is a broken arm.
