Cottonwood Holistic Family Health has announced the addition of a new Family Nurse Practitioner, Cara Caldwell to its team.
Caldwell, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, received her nursing degree from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She pursued additional training from the University of Houston for family nurse practitioner licensure. Upon completion of graduate school, she completed a residency program working with underserved populations in south Texas and continued to provide health care for underserved populations in New Mexico.
Caldwell has special interests in rural health care, serving underserved communities and wilderness medicine. She has served on several mission trips to Peru. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder and is also certified in Basic Wilderness Survival.
