A proposed 'Heritage, not Hate' Confederate flag ride Saturday seemed to draw more people demonstrating against hate and racism than Confederate flag supporters. The anti-racism rally was at the county fairgrounds intersection in Durango. The flag ride was originally announced to start at the fairgrounds and go to Pagosa Springs, but the start location was moved, apparently in response to plans for the ccounter-rally. One pickup drove by sporting both an American flag and a Confederate flag. A beat up, mud-caked pickup flying a Confederate flag was parked across the street from the fairgrounds.
