Themes and slogans must be 10 words or fewer, and the theme should reflect the family and community nature of the fair.

Submitting artwork is encouraged, and submissions should be labeled with an associated name, mailing address and telephone number.

Submissions can be dropped off at the Extension Office at the La Plata County Fairgrounds or mailed to La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave. Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Feb. 23.

The winner will receive $100 cash.

The fair will include a carnival, displays, exhibits, the livestock auction, the demolition derby, dancing, and food.
