County government offices moving

Several county government offices are moving out of the courthouse starting today. They are moving diagonally across the street to the former Vectra Bank building.

This is part of the county's process to address existing and future facility needs for county offices, Sixth Judicial District Court functions and federal court/probation offices.

Moving out of the courthouse are the county commissioners office and meeting rooms, the assessor's office, county administration, the finance department, and the procurement department which will move from 235 Bodo Drive.

All those offices are closed today.

On Monday at 8 a.m., the Assessor's Office will be open for business in their new office on the bottom floor of the County Administration Building (Suite A).

On Tuesday at 8 a.m., the Commissioner's Office, Finance, Administration and Procurement Departments will be open for business in their new office space on the main floor of the County Administration Building. The county commissioners will hold their first business meeting in the new board room E103 at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

An open house for the the public to visit the new county administration Building will be scheduled in July.
